(1) Advantages. Supercapacitors are an upgrade of ordinary capacitive devices, and many improvements have been implemented on early capacitors. The main advantages are: ① electric capacity. The conventional capacitors used in the early days have small capacitance storage and can only meet the circuit requirements of small loads; while the capacitance level of supercapacitors can reach the Farad level, which can meet the needs of more complex circuit operation. ② circuit. Supercapacitors have lower requirements on circuit structure, do not need to set up special charging circuits, control and discharge circuits, and the operating time of capacitors will not be affected by overcharging and overdischarging. ③Welding. Ordinary capacitors cannot be welded. When supercapacitors are installed, they can be welded as needed, which prevents the occurrence of poor battery contact and improves the function of capacitor components.

(2) Disadvantages. After a functional test of the supercapacitor, it was found that this new type of capacitor also has shortcomings. Such as: ① leakage. The unreasonable position of the supercapacitor equipment is easy to cause problems such as electrolyte leakage, which destroys the structure and function of the capacitor. ② circuit. The use of supercapacitors is limited to DC circuits, because compared with aluminum electrolytic capacitors , the internal resistance of supercapacitors is larger, which is not suitable for the operation requirements of AC circuits. ③ Price. Because supercapacitors are a new generation of high-tech products, their prices were relatively high when they were just introduced to the market, which increased the cost of equipment operation.
